I am writing as a very satisfied parent to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional care and education provided by the Nursery at The Hall School. From the moment we joined the school community, it was clear that the nursery offers something truly special. The staff are outstanding — warm, nurturing, attentive, and deeply committed to every child’s development. What has impressed us most is the wonderful balance they achieve between providing a caring environment and maintaining high academic standards. The children are encouraged, challenged, and inspired in a way that builds both confidence and curiosity. The nursery team clearly understands how to support each child individually, ensuring they feel happy and secure while also helping them thrive intellectually and socially. I would highly recommend The Hall School. My daughter has attended since she was just one and a half years old, and I only wish I had moved her there sooner. She is nurtured down to her very core, learning so much through play, and absolutely thriving in this environment. Every teacher has such a genuine passion for educating and caring for these young minds, and as a parent, it is incredibly heartwarming to witness. This is so much more than childcare. It is a place where children are encouraged to play, learn, grow, and feel safe in the warmest of environments. The school teaches healthy eating, supports friendships, encourages respect and autonomy, and somehow manages to incorporate numbers, words, shapes, phonics, imaginative play, and so much more into everyday learning so naturally and gently. The Hall in Northwood is a rare gem, the teachers are like family and genuinely love teaching our son who has been going since one years old. The teaching style is hands on with a number of different activities and regular updates and observations through the electronic portal. We highly recommend the Hall given its nurturing style of teaching with an amazing detached building which creates a safe loving environment for our son to enjoy his early years.

Our daughter has been at The Hall for over a year and absolutely loves it. She thrives in the smaller class settings, and it allows her to get to know all of the teachers at the nursery so that it’s not daunting when moving classes. We have found that being a term time nursery has been gratefully beneficial as it gives us the flexibility to be able to send our daughter in full time using the extra holiday sessions if we need, or take the holiday periods off.
