EYLog, What is it?

We love keeping in touch with our parents through the EYLog! It’s a fantastic tool for us to share your child’s daily progress, activities, special moments, daily diaries, and everything they experience in their our nursery. It also offers you the opportunity to engage with us by creating and sharing your own observations for us to view! This becomes your child’s learning journey, accessible for you only whenever you like! For further information, please click here for the EYLog parent guide, which offers more information about EYLog.

Tea & Coffee mornings!

We host enjoyable ‘Tea & Coffee’ mornings exclusively for our parents, giving them the chance to socialise, form friendships, and interact with our staff who are present to exchange ideas, ask questions, and savour some lovely refreshments. This event serves as a wonderful platform for us to connect with our parents and work together in partnership!

Curriculum Evening

At the beginning of each academic year, we organise a curriculum evening for our parents to learn all about what we offer at our Nursery. The evening will provide you with information on:

  • The EYFS, its importance, and how it supports your child’s development.
  • The EYLog and daily observations, an excellent way for you to see your child’s progress and development.
  • The importance of British values and the ways we incorporate them into our school environment.
  • Our long-term planning, where we discuss the topics and celebrations we cover throughout the school year.
  • Dates for your diaries, highlighting all the exciting events we have planned!
  • Uniform, where we explain our school uniform policies and show you the uniform.
  • Our school routine and daily structure for each age group.
  • School experiences and outings we have throughout the year, with our favourite being a day at the farm!

There is plenty more to explore. It’s a wonderful opportunity for you to meet other parents, ask us questions throughout the evening, meet our entire team and your child’s classroom teachers, and also enjoy some refreshments!

Parents Evening...

During our Spring term, we hold a Parent’s Evening. This provides an opportunity to talk, ask questions, or share any concerns with your child’s key worker and other class teachers regarding your child’s progress and development, as well as their overall experience within the school environment. We allocate 15-minute appointments for each child’s parents or carers, allowing them time to discuss and address any questions they may have.
